Harry Caul: The Series!!
AMC Developing 1970s-Set Drama Based on Francis Ford Coppola’s THE CONVERSATION!!

AMC has hired writers Christopher McQuarrie ("The Usual Suspects," "The Way of The Gun") and Erik Jendresen ("Band of Brothers," "Otis") to pen a pilot following the adventures of surveillance expert Harry Caul, hero of Francis Ford Coppola’s Oscar-nominated 1974 drama “The Conversation.”
As in the movie starring Gene Hackman, Caul will both eavesdrop and be eavesdropped upon.
Sony shot a contemporary NBC pilot in 1994 that starred Sandrine Holt ("Rapa Nui"), Molly Orr ("Drake & Josh"), and "Twin Peaks" vet Kyle MacLachlan as Harry Caul. Scripted by Ron Bass ("Gardens of Stone," "Rain Man," "My Best Friend's Wedding"), the pilot never spawned a series.
