Hey folks, Harry here. For a long time have we watched this one. Always wondering if this one would climb aboard. Mid July of last year (Click Here To Read) we reported that Gabriel Byrne was in preliminary talks to take a part in the upcoming Star Wars film. However, over eager speculators were both refuting this and claiming that it was a done deal. Well... The IRISH STAR newspaper has recently interviewed Gabriel Byrne, and it's looking like Byrne at least has the offer on the table. That doesn't mean he's signed (it also doesn't mean that he's just not being coy, and that he has already signed) quite yet. But the last quote I include down here you will note sounds like it is HIGHLY LIKELY that he'll accept. The original story can be found at this location. "The people from Star Wars called the other day to offer me something, but I don't know what it is yet," confirmed Byrne. "It's probably already been announced on the Internet, but I still don't I know myself."
However hinting that he may well take up the offer he said: "My children are too young to see this (Moon For The Misbegotten), so they'd probably prefer me to do a Star Wars Picture." The Irish Star newspaper contributed to this story.
